General Discussion / 48 Error in loading dll
« Last post by Elderconi on November 12, 2017, 01:22:44 AM »
When I attempt to add and save a new name I get this error and it will not save or exit properly.  I have Windows 10.  Is this common?

Picture Directory for Windows (PDFW) / How change Main Window columns?
« Last post by Edes on October 23, 2017, 07:31:49 PM »
In the main window there are several columns that I do not use (Children, for instance) but there are some that I do use which are not shown. Can I change the display?

General Discussion / Cannot Print
« Last post by cgriggs on August 09, 2017, 12:38:35 PM »
I sent my finished directory to the printers and find that they cannot print it in the form it's in.
Can it be saved as JPEG, PDF, or something else? I can't use it the way it is now. I have Windows 10.
Charlie
On edit:
I'm in the process of ordering PDF online and will see what transpires with it.
On edit again:
I purchased PDF, but how do I save the directory to it?
On edit again:
I got it put into PDF, but it was a bit confusing how I finally accomplished the job. I'm really glad to see it finished. I'll use a different program if/when I make another directory, you can bet your bottom dollar on that!

Picture Directory for Windows (PDFW) / custom field
« Last post by Edes on June 11, 2017, 03:16:22 AM »
I created a new DB file and when I added a custom field to the entry page, the opening page that should display all the data including the alphabetical list of names only shows 3 data fields (phone, email and children).  What am I doing wrong?

I'm now running Windows 10Pro having upgraded from Windows 7Pro, and cannot open PDfW.  The following error message displays underneath the Logo Splash, only readable when cursor hovers over link in TaskBar:
"Configuration File (pdfw.cfg) Is Missing. PDfW cannot start."
The config file is, in fact, in the PDfW folder.  Is this a known issue with a fix available, or should I get a new "key" and reinstall the program?
BTW, my upgrade to Win 10Pro was before most recent PDfW use, it has worked fine previously within Win 10Pro...

General Discussion / Can't move in Directory
« Last post by cgriggs on February 17, 2017, 02:06:35 AM »
I open up the program to the "information" page and can't seem to get to page 1. (Info page contains names, addresses, city, state, etc)
How do I get off of this page?
Cgriggs
Never mind. I don't want to be a bother!

General Discussion / format for picture download
« Last post by dables on November 15, 2016, 10:19:29 PM »
When I designate a path for the picture, the frame does not populate with the picture. Why??
Is there a certain format for the picture? Is there an extra step? I can't find that information anywhere.
This is urgent!
Thanks!

Picture Directory for Windows (PDFW) / Possible Filtering Glitch, PDfW 3.0
« Last post by RGKoelling on September 04, 2016, 02:14:51 AM »
We use Filtering to sort "Active" versus "Inactive" members in our church, printing only the "Active" list.  The Filter function is great, enables us to keep inactive members in database for re-activation if/when they return.

I've discovered a possible glitch in the software.  When Filtering is enabled, with "Active" list selected, only the Active members print as desired, however even the Inactive members print in the Events calendar.
Can this be adjusted, so only the Active filter prints in both the address book section as well as the events sections?

Hi Will,

I'm pleased to announce that Picture-Directory for Windows is now available.  Over the next few days, I'll be adding the options for customers to use their existing registration code to receive a registration code for PDfW. In the meantime, if you want one right away, let me know via the Ask Question page on our site: http://picture-directory.com/ask_question.php

Thanks,

Keith
